Momentous Reckoning reassesses and reimagines the history of the Confederate monuments and Black Americana using appropriated imagery from Jim Crow-era postcard archives of the Detroit Publishing Company and Raphael Tuck & Sons Postcard Company, confronting our perceptions and understanding of the legacies of history and the passage of time, race and stereotypes as well as a reckoning with societal transformation and change.
